The 10GBASE-T SFP+ transceiver provides 10 Gbps connectivity over Cat6a or Class EA copper cabling with an RJ45 interface. It plugs into any SFP MSA slot, is hot-pluggable, and follows the SFF-8472 management interface.

Typical deployments

10GBASE-T SFP+ modules connect 10G switches to servers, NIDs and copper patches where fiber is overkill: top-of-rack copper runs, lab benches and demarc points, up to 30 m over Cat6a cabling.
